So when are the Tikka T3's going on sale in anticipation of the T3x's ??? (!)

What does the new version offer? At under $700, the T3 are priced correctly. Not a deal, per se, as $900-$1000 for a T3 was a joke.

All changes are mostly to a stock as we all know now ,scope mount is great the way it is now with recoil pin ,enlarging ejection port ? no difference to me at all ! I just see it as a reason to bring the price up just like most of other manufacturers did .
I think the real Joke is buying Rugers ,Remingtons ,Savages and other rifles at the prices they are listed this days especially with the fact that Tikkas outperform most of them in accuracy ,reliability and performance out of the box .The only reason they were cheaper is a stock . All of my Tikkas mate with MDT chassis and other modified stocks with AICS mags so they are all interchangeable and they shoot great in all of them.
So lets buy more Tikkas till we can at this prices ,but all the good stuff (for me ) is not available at sale prices .

Heading up to Bass Pro with my wallet: $579-$599 Tikka's. Coming home with two. Hopefully one in 243 and another in 270. Neither calibres have been in my collection and at that price, might as well see what they're all about! :)

EDIT: never mind... Bass Pro lists their stuff in US dollars. Nothing special there.

The T3 lite in .243 is a thing of beauty

with T3X not due until late in the fall, and no discounts offered on t3's from distributor to dealers, unlikely to see a t3 blowout.

I agree...what rifle hasn't jumped up considerably in price.

Looks like everyone on the EE has no idea the T3 Lites are on sale....Its cheaper to buy a brand new one then everyone listed on the forum.

No doubt.

I got a SS T3 in 270Win this week from my LGS who will match other prices.

Nice. I'm looking for the same rifle, or a superlite, or stainless laminate - for a project

Wholesale Sports in Langley had T3 stainless hunter packages with Burris E1 3-9x40 on for $869.99 on Saturday. That's probably about as close as you are going to get to "blowout" prices on a Tikka. Even with T3x's in stock, gun stores are going to have no problem moving T3's at their current prices.

I agree. I bought this at nearly full price last week... couldn't be happier:

Leupold VX-R 1.25-4x20 (30mm) scope
MaSi QD mount
Atlasworxs stainless bolt handle and aluminum bolt knob
Atlasworxs aluminum shroud
Lumley Arms titanium recoil lug
Tikka 5-round magazine
factory oiled walnut stock (just as nice as my Sako's)

Actually, it seems that some retailers are indeed clearing out the T3's. I just bought the same rifle as The Kurgan without the upgraded bolt handle/mag etc. (box stock), in 22-250 on Saturday, as I've been wanting a new coyote and varmint rifle. $710 + GST & Wynne taxes (a.k.a. HST). The same retailer also had some Bushnell Elite 4-16X50 scopes on end-of-model-year clear out at just under $500, and while I've always been pretty much a Nikon guy, I bought th3 scope as well, as it is the Japan-sourced item and has decent reviews. Took it up to the range at my Club yesterday, and had it zeroed in less than 6 rounds at 100 yards, with my largest group at 1.3". Doesn't sound like much, but with this being my first time using it, and the first rounds through the barrel I was more than happy.

Now I've got to get my buddy to take me up to his club, which has a much longer distance shot/sight-in facility. Ideally, for me, I'd like to get it nailed at 150 to 175, and just hold-over or hold-under for distance variance.

O.N.G.

Good deals there. However, what you see on paper might not be what is left in stock.
Call lebaron in advance of looking at what they have. 9 times out of 10 I walk out of lebaron with some other rifle. ;)
BTW, they always have a good selection of ammo.

Nice gun. What's the chambering?

Pardon the partial derail, but have you made any progress towards getting in any of those QD mounts for Tikkas?
