So, who else is hunting with their NR black rifles?

we need a thread full of pictures of black and red rifles shown in a hunting context. it would be nice to show hunting pictures with black and red rifles to help antis understand that black and red rifles are no different then a bolt action hunting rifle.

Agree!

To update my previous post, we went out again this weekend and Saturday morning ended up being very successful. Just before dawn this eight point buck was working his way down a game trail, and I was able to line up the double lung heart shot. The RFB was a perfect size to maneuver around the rock I was using as partial concealment. The shot ranged out at a little less than 100 yards, and the 168 grain Winchester Ballistic Silvertip worked very well. The deer took four or five leaping steps before dropping on the other side of the ridgeline - DRT. After dressing, he came in slightly under the 200 lb. mark.

Overall I'm very happy with the RFB, it's a little heavier than I would like, but it has everything else going for it...

Cheers,

M

il be using my RFB if i go hunting in an area in ont that allows centerfire and not just shotgun/muzzle loader.

So you're hunting Deer with .223 ?

In Ontario it's A-OK to hunt deer with .223. Personally, I've found the .223 cartridge to work quite well on deer. People against the .223 cartridge seem to say that it only works with careful shot placement. But honestly, if you can't make a clean shot, you shouldn't be taking the shot anyhow. That should be the case whether you're using .223 or some massive cannon, so really the small calibre arguement should be moot IMHO.

WAY TO GO stormtrooper!!! Nice buck!!!

And, I had hoped to post a pic from this year, but no luck so far... So, here's last year with the RFB.
