heres a pic of my model 9422 traper next to my 9422mag, they are the two on the top. The bottom two (guns I have since parted with) are a 357mag trapper and a 44mag trapper. the 9422 trapper I will never sell its the only one I have ever seen or heard of in canada. I would like to know if anyone else has one.

I bought one this spring form bunny her eon CGN, in 45 COlt. I am not much of a lever fan, but I love this rifle.

I regret not having it with me when I took out a problem bear the other day...

357

I've got '94 in .357 mag that I love. However I'm thinking of trading to a 44.
I've never seen one with the pistol grip like swift5337 has, I like that one. Was it a special run, or model?

Had one in 30/30-sold it-never should have.Nice little bush gun.If I was going to get another one, I'm not sure if I wouldn't go for the 44 magnum, since the trapper is a short range gun anyway

got the standard in 44 mag, circa 1993 or so - great little gun, but you definately want to lengthen the pull and "soften " the recoil as she barks and kicks- must be set up for persons shorter than about 5'6 or so- i'm too long for it and i'm only 5'8- but 50 yards using factory ammo it groups QUARTERS- for 3 rounds- dimes if i get really lucky

Really like my two trappers - a 16 1/4" tube is good in the bush around here. Hope you Winny fans will excuse me for my preference of a different flavour.

Cross Breed Trapper

I put that one together myself. I bought a 44 Trapper and a 357 Legacy from a guy on the EE here a few years ago as a package deal. I liked the look of the pistol grip way better, and the shortness of the trapper is what I was after to begin with, so I took the grip off the Legacy an put it on the Trapper. It took some figuring and trial and error, but its been workin flawlessly for a long time now, and I sold the Legacy with the staight grip from the Trapper for what I paid for it besides. Win win for me I say.(I believe the Legacy is right below the Trapper in my pic)

I have a 1983 made .44 Trapper. Before I had any shotguns, I was helping a friend cut timber logs from cut trees outside on a portable mill in a nearby rural area, just west of Cold Lake. This was our constant companion while working the portable wood mill, about 40 yards from his house.
Silverback graciously supplied LBT style, 310 grain, hard cast ammunition, over 18.5 grains of AA #9. These sat in the magazine, with the chamber empty.
It sat in a canvas case within 6-10 feet of us both at all times, while we worked outside.

swift5337 - you did a real nice job of that cross breed trapper - I applaud your efforts and craftsmanship.
Does a Marlin Marauder in 35Rem count?
I say yes - but I'm a bit biased. Catainion - let's see a pic of your 35rem marauder and we'll know for sure. I figured I own the only one in 35rem nord of dee border.
