OK, I don't know anything about chokes, but I had a look on Cabela's website and it appears that the same choke offered for a Browning, Mossberg, Winchester or Remington shotgun all have different part #'s. This leads me to think that each shotgun takes a slightly different choke. Why wouldn't a Remington 870 clone be threaded to take a Remington choke? I must be missing something...

Is there even loss of velocity in smooth barrel i kinda doubt it but could be wrong

The gun powder get completely burned at 12~13", according to Remington website.

So velocity loss wouldn't be so much.
