I traded the 7mm rem mag for a shot gun and picked up a No5 wheich will be my go to rifle this year. Who else is planning on using the out dated, under powered, dinosaur for this years season lol :p

underpowered???
dont know about that part but Im bringing my rig, for moose and deer, maybe bear as well, that is up for debate this year

just have to fix the butt stock, should have done it long ago :(

Its not an Enfield, but I am debating whether to bring out the new Ruger No.1 in .303 British this season.

Beluga Whales beware ... broke out old Betsy and she's ready to rock and roll ... :D

p.s. PLENTY of power ... plenty ... ;)

I nailed my first deer with a No.4 Lee Enfield (un-babba'd I might add) and it's still one of my favourite game getters. Now that I reload, I can work up 150 gr. loads for smaller game & 174 and 180 gr. for bigger game. I even have an old box of Dominion 215 gr. if I ever encounter a mad gorilla! I bought a nice Sussex sporter Lee Enfield off of a fellow CGN'er, and when I get the mods done, I'm going to post some pics. Good luck to all you guys in the coming fall hunt.

My only deer rifle is my No4 MK1, but this year I'm afraid I'm going to be making a change... and taking out my "new" No4 MK1* Longbranch full wood. :D

Need to finish mounting a scope on mine. The eyes just are that good anymore.

Once ready it will have the place of honor in my gun case on the quad. Deer and bear look out. If the old 30/30 isn't enough to get you. The Enfield will.

After hunting for over 30 yeqars with all sorts of rifles, I bought a .303 this year off this site. I decided I shoiuld become a part of the Canadian tradition (Commonwealth actually) and hunt with the .303.

I will carry it some and kill something with it, even if its a white-tail doe.

The problem is I also bought two other rifles one in 6.5X55 and one in .44 mag. They may both see some action as well.

ill will be bringing mine in the bush again got my first deer with it and definetly not my last!! its been going on 10 years now and one slight crack in the stock but still shoots awsome!

Underpowered? I'd bet my next paycheck the Wehrmacht and more than a few Luftwaffe pilots didnt find it underpowered!!:D

Well put! :) My first moose fell to a Lee Enfield, and many more fall each year in this Province to the venerable Lee Enfield.

Got my first bull elk with my enfield (sporterized, but still...) last year. Im sure it will make an appearance this year as well, although the 7MM might be the primary meat earner this year. We will see which I feel more comfortable with at the start of the season.

I got a sporterized one sitting in the safe that is pretty neglected. Kind of in rough shape but shoots great so maybe I will work on the cosmetics a bit and take her out.

Got an old Enfield rifle that I use solely for moose. Alot of people think you need a cannon to hunt Moose and Dear, not necessary though. She is quite sufficient for my hunting needs.
