Society of Misguided Adventurers

The permits have to be done in advance, and the only two valid reasons are organized target competition and "safari hunting". Once you have your import permits and gun license in your hand it is quite easy. Typically the customs guy will ask about hunting, you have to get an export permit on the way out too. It seems like it would be very easy to give them away to licensed Aussie gun owners if you went to the police together. The reason that that came up is because gun prices are very high in Australia and we're looking at saving my friend some money. From what I've seen you can close to double the price of everything. My 458 would go go for 2000 there if you could find one instead of 1300 if you could find one here.

AnOther difference is that you can almost forget about semis, pump rifles are OK because they forgot about their existence when they were busy banning everything in sight.
