So I sold my SR-22... put all kind of money in it and it never was accurate.

What are your thoughts on the Dlask DAR-22 looking for a more accurate 22....

I have a DAR22 on the way. I am getting it fully loaded with all the options so it'll cost me but from what I have seen they are worth the cash.

Are you looking to stay with a semi-auto??? If so, the DAR22 is excellent... ours shoot 1/2" at 50 yards consistently with the 12.5" bull barrels. If you are going to shoot more at 100 yards, I would recommend going with the 16" barrel.

If you really want to shoot small groups, you would be better of with a bolt gun... CZ is a great way to go (452 American's are still available)... or tweak a Savage. Good luck with your next build!

I followed and enjoyed your on going sr22 build. I don't think your going to really find any difference between what you had and a DAR22 seeing as you have already tried both the 12.5"and 16.5" dlask barrels so you've pretty much had a DAR22. I noticed you always ran a spark optic, did you ever try your sr22 with a scope? When I had my 12.5" dlask barreled sr22 with a 4-16x on it shot very tight groups. I now have a dlask built DAR22 and a Ruger VLEH both with 16.5" barrels and decent scopes and they group pretty similar.

I didn`t realize that he had Dlask barrels on his SR... if thats the case you can expect less improvement than if you had been shooting the factory barrel... I still think the DAR22 receiver will give you tighter tolerances... did you have a tuned bolt with your SR??? If you were only shooting open sights... a scope will help tremendously.

factionrr im also hoping for something lighter... The SR22 looked cool... But she was a heavy b!tch

Might have to sell my BC steel lips and go another route... That the only reason I like the 10/22 because of the mags... lol...

Im also done with red dots ... Scopes from now on....

A switch from red dots to scopes will give you your biggest gain in accuracy... particularly if you get something with good clarity and magnification.

Yeah that's why I sold mine aswell, the weight got quite heavy with all of the dlask parts and my style of shooting doesn't really suite the ar style platform. You really can't go wrong with a dar22 with a nice quality scope like hoytcanon says.

I will call Dlask and see about a threaded receiver with a fluted bull barrel... in a hogue stock... 16.5 Of course...

Pfft too heavy?! nahhh! I found mine too light so I attached a tactical brick to the end of it! :runaway: haha

Ya I find it hard to shoot steady when im standing with nothing to rest the gun on. I just bought a sling and I am gunna try some different shooting styles that utilize it. Might help... probably wont.

What scope and rings are on the first 2 rifles? Nice rifles!

I sold my SR to buy a DAR22. Couldn't be happier with it. There's something to be said about it when a fly lands on the target at 56 yards and you can hit it. Prob buy the 16" version next to go longer.

Here I go...banging the Marlin drum again.. :) If you're hard-wired to dump a pile of cash into a custom-gun, and if any part of that is to "wow" your fellow shooters at the range or on CGN, then ignore this advice. The most accurate .22 semi I've ever shot is the Marlin 795 I own, and paid $125 (all-in) for at SAIL. I paid a very talented Marlin enthusiast a modest sum to do some trigger work and polishing on the internals, and the result is a 4lb. tack driver. I'm a bolt-action fan through and through, but this rifle brings a smile to my face every time. It deserves better glass, so I'm working on that now....but still will be a modestly-priced semi when the dust settles.

+1.
If I were to do it again with more $$, I'd go the threaded option.
