Plus my first fixed stock was delivered today. Overall a nice looking rifle,
Few things to note,
Retention spring for the grenade launcher is not on the new rifles, at least not the one I got today.
Bolt carrier is also darker compared to the old rifle
Chrome plating on the gas piston is less then old by roughly an inch.
Bolt and carrier are machined nicer then my old rifle
No serial stamped into the Bolt carrier compared to the old models.
Safety out of the box is very stiff compared to old model I'm sure with use it will loosen up.
Fit and finish overall is not to bad.

even tho noone was talking to you CanucktobanTotally understand you. Type 81 SE will be as much as Type 81LMG right now, due to the demand in Canadian market. Remember those are new productions, not surplus. As long as there is a demand, factory wouldn’t stop producing.
When I want to buy a type 81, people are selling basic type 81 as crazy as 2000 plus, almost double price when it was in stock. But I didn’t encourage their bad behaviour, because I know exactly factory in China are producing type 81 with dark red colour wood, just unsure when it will be available in Canada.
