Few things to note,
Retention spring for the grenade launcher is not on the new rifles, at least not the one I got today.

Bolt carrier is also darker compared to the old rifle

Chrome plating on the gas piston is less then old by roughly an inch.

Bolt and carrier are machined nicer then my old rifle

No serial stamped into the Bolt carrier compared to the old models.

Safety out of the box is very stiff compared to old model I'm sure with use it will loosen up.

Fit and finish overall is not to bad.

Ok I don't get this and please do educate me if I am confused, why is insurance the responsibility of anyone except the shipper? If I don't get a product I paid for I ask for my money back regardless of any insurance. Even if you pay for insurance its really not yours, the shipper has to make the claim, so your really just mitigating risk for the shipper not yourself. I appreciate this is dicey with private deals but its odd practice for commercial transactions that involve third party payment systems. Also are you really buying insurance from Canadapost during the checkout or is it just a donation to the merchant's "self insurance" potential loss kitty. Its not like you get a detailed receipt from Canadapost., well I guess you can't because the insurance would still not be yours.

Looks amazing! Can you confirm if the box came with the red panels for the folding stock? It looks like the ones on yours are brown, rather than the red ones advertised in the store and promo photos.

Edit: if Tac Imports wants to chime in too that'd be helpful - not sure if this is the same issue as last batch where the ones they shipped with were incorrect or what's going on, but it'd be nice to know for peace of mind while waiting for mine.

Mine is definitely brown. Also, if anyone who's owned one of these before can chime in, the top half of my handgaurd has about 1/16 up and down play. I would assume it's supposed to be solid but I don't know how's these fit and finish. Still happier than a pig in mud!

Interesting, I wonder what TI has to say about the cheekpiece situation. In all the images of this batch they've posted it's all matching furniture. It would seriously suck if they don't come with the correct colored plastic. Last time if I recall correctly it was an issue with the factory and they provided replacement panels - are we going to see a repeat with this batch?
