Got mine out today and the trigger had a mind of its own. Going to have to get it replaced or fixed.

It seemed that the trigger wouldn’t reset right? Sometimes the hammer would have a hang time where you feel
No resistance then the hammer would just drop. Some vids posted below

The grip seems to have loosened off and wiggle and the heat shield and moves which is audibly annoying.

Still is a great shooter once I get my issues taken care of.

A Friday gun if there ever was one.

Good videos.

The trigger and grip are the big problems (upper handguard looks acceptable).
It really makes you wonder what the Quality Assurance guy was thinking when he put that rifle in the "approved" bin.

Hopefully you get it sorted out sooner rather than later, these look like fun rifles.

Out of curiosity, did you pay by card or EMT?

Yeah to be honest I was totally happy with the upper hand guard/heat shield it just had an annoying squeak. I was planning on tying some paracord on it for a neat effect.

The trigger was the biggest of my concerns as it double tapped and the hammer fell after I let go of the trigger.
Just an overall unsafe trigger mechanism.

if you can turn your sight dial then your top HG looks spongey to me, either that or you have a very strong thumb but regardless, too many issue. i think they want you to send the whole gun back. talk to neil and mail it COD.

Havent watched ur vids yet, but can say that by design the Type 81 trigger mechanism is as safe as any semi auto.

Yeah it would just be a bummer to have to wait for a restock. It really is a good shooter. Had my 18” silhouette out at 200 and it was ringing consistently unsupported(that is when the trigger worked properly).

maybe you dont have to wait. they may have a few on hand for situation like this.

I observed that the new shipment does not include the small quality slip anymore like before. Maybe they were rushed because of the uncertain government policy situation and therefore some of the rifles have problems.

My gas tube/handguard rattles same as yours, none of my other older ones ever did

That grip is super easy to fix and im thinking with a little bit of thought and know how that the trigger can be fixed quickly and easily at home

interesting theory but even with inspection slip, how did the loose grips on the lmg pass inspection? it was so obvious. did the inspector not hold the rifle?

Guys...buy anything from Ebay and and 30% of the time it comes with a QA slip. It's exactly that, a slip of paper. There is no QA inspector, I can't believe ppl actually believe a slip of paper.

Yeah, I’m not playing around with the trigger the gun is a lemon.

Before you send it back, if you don't think it will void the warranty, is it possible when they installed the right side safety (saw in video) and threaded pins (if this threaded pins were added for an optic ready version) they somehow mis-installed the trigger assembly? I saw one Type 81 side mount installation video where the fellow removed the trigger group for no reason; is it possible one of the springs was removed and re-installed improperly?
