Having gone the cobra route, I’m not entirely sure I’d do it again. I’d likely buy the TI pic mount and go with a conventional low profile micro dot.

Magnification would be nice but TI stated that the ejection port should be kept clear.

That is the issue. I don't have a scope that clears the ejection port.

will a vz58/ cz858 protection cover will work on the t81? maybe the answer is there.

Sorry for a TL, DR but what's the verdict on the Kobra sights? Recommend or avoid? This is coming from someone that had never owned any optical sight of any kind on any gun. I do own a fixed from the 2017 pre order, love it and am considering ordering a folder with the nice cherry wood and Kobra sight.

It’s nice if you like that Soviet era look. The sight itself leaves much to be desired - it’s difficult to adjust, it’s not that bright, the battery doesn’t last like a new dot sight would, it’s got lots of shortcomings actually.

Id buy mine again but I like cool stuff.

Now that these have sold I can express how ugly they are. The wood looks horrible and so does the park finish.
My blued LMG looks like the real deal as far as original military appearance and configuration goes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t make it out this year given the state of shipping right now.

If the shipping container full of the rifles is coming through Vancouver and has to be shipped to Alberta to be distributed, the flooding knocking out the main routes is going to seriously frack things up. If the container has not yet left China, it might make more sense to use Air China to get it to Edmonton, as we have a stop there on their cargo flight to Texas. Not sure how much more it would be, but it could reduce some complexity.
