Agreed. And the ones I’ve handled, admittedly never one with the bends, are remarkably well made. Even compared to a Valmet 78. The folder mechanism is extremely well designed and manufactured, though the stock is remarkably short. Just have to remember that it was designed from Chinese soldiers from the 80s with vests on.
The optic ready comes with the right side safety, and threaded hammer and trigger pin pre-installed, but no rail mount. This simplifies installation when you do choose the Kobra or Picatinny kit, as you only have to attach the rail, and you have then threaded pins and safety from the kit as backup parts.
i have to add that was the problem i had with the famas while in the army: so short stock and i was way better shot with the 49/56 but the famas was great to get out a vehicle or dynamic entrance: seems most armies are getting rid of the bull up concept for different reasons but that is a great tool and like any tools not good fr everything.
the t81 especially the folding version is really great adding the wonderful 7.62x39 and you re golden but for some on cgn it is coming from china and blah blah ...
I forgot to mention the TI Picatinny side rail mount and Kobra side rail are different, so you have to swap the different rails onto the threaded pins if alternating both. The Kobra side rail mount is compatible with certain non-TI Picatinny mounts as an alternative; you can seek info in those out elsewhere on the forum.
Weird because on EE both examples currently visible are both $300 more than sale price

Not really, the one you linked has 4 mags and we all have to pay taxes.
Unless you don't pay taxes or shipping from Ti and you don't bargain with people on EE like everyone here does, you're pretty darn close to MSRP.
The 4 mag package would cost me $1,440-1,450ish landed at my door. The one on EE is asking $1,500. There isn't $300 of markup in there.

I was wondering if you (or anyone) knew of a generic side mount plate that easily fits on the t81s? I'd love to mount an old kalinka or belomo of my own, instead of the kobra or generic picatinny. is the picatinny sideplate really just a generic sideplate that'll fit PSO scopes etc?
If you sell second hand you gotta sell below brand new.
I don't pay taxes on second hand goods that's first time buyer problems.

The Kobra kit side plate, not the one from the TI Picatinny kit ( proprietary), is the one that is compatible with certain other Eastern Bloc scopes and some non-TI Picatinny mounts. Look on the Red Rifle forum and the Kobra scope thread for more info.
