Over here in New Zealand, the Norc rifles come with a "fake" muzzle break/flash suppressor. The grooves are filled in (NZ law states that longitudinal grooves are illegal because they are a "flash suppressor" but everthing else goes because it is a "muzzle break"). So I've got a tube of metal hanging off the end of the barrel that does absolutely nothing but add length. I'm not worried about having a muzzle break, so I'm thinking of cutting the tube off (maybe a quarter inch max off the muzzle). Being barely mechanical, I'm assuming that a hacksaw or putting a cutting disc on my grinder would work? Any help appreciated.
