I have never heard anyone complain that Salvages weren't accurate, with the exception of the new 17 WSM, whatever model Salvage made it in. HOWEVER, let's put it in perspective, Rosie O'Donnell IS a woman.................

Man, some of you guys must be swimming in cash or have a VERY understanding wife lol. I make enough that I should be fearful of where Justin is going to get the money he plans on giving to the so called middle class and I could never bring myself to pay 10 grand for a rifle (especially given the abuse I sometime subject my gear to). Not knocking anyone who does spend that kind of loot but, at the same time I offer nothing but encouragement to those coming in on the ground floor and buying what some would call disposable guns. I have a couple of rifles that crest the $1500 mark on down to a couple that fit in the $500 category and don't feel inadequate with any of them under my arm. As a matter of fact , I bought a ruger American in .243 when they first hit Canada solely to see if I would like the caliber for later upgrade. This rifle shoots so well, I wouldn't be surprised if it clover leafed three crayons. I plan on giving it to my nephew as a starter deer rifle and replacing it with a higher end rifle ,sub $2000 lol. That's high end to me.My coyote rifle is a ( dare I say it) savage 10xp predator in snow camo. This is chambered in .204 r and an absolute laser beam. I can't understand why anyone would dislike savage rifles other than their price point.

Nice..Extra points for getting a Merkel into a Salvage threadNice..
I agree with the thoughts of using a high end rifle instead of it being a safe queen. To a point, and hopefully I'll get over it some day but I still have a hard time taking a beautiful wood stock hunting in my wet thick soggy world, if I lived in more open country it'd be different. I just get too pizzed at the wood showing so many dings so easily.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I like savage. They're usually lasers out of the box, inexpensive, and easy to work on. They may not be pretty or prestigious, but they get the job done, usually without modification.
