Some Beretta M9.92FS questions.

All these very cool Beretta pics are making me want another Beretta 9mm...

Well I don't have one to begin with but I want it to be my first handgun.

That was their Xmas sale on Dec 12th. The deals were fast and furious that day (I'm already saving for next Xmas). I was there...my son wanted me to buy it for him (it was a 92FS...not an M9 I believe). I didn't as I already have an M9A1 and he can shoot that. Instead I got the wife her HK P2000 V3 ($849...try finding that price anywhere else...) and a bunch of .223 ammo...

just be sure and get a 92 that has the mag release on the triggerguard, and if you can, get a back-up locking block- i have one of the old sbs and i have to make custom mags for it b/c they've changed over to the other style- sure, you can do it with drill and backing plate, but why should you have to bother- as for the locking block, it's just good insurance- i had one of the lugs break off mine a while back- beretta does list it out as a "consumable " part

it was only about 6 months back somebody was selling "refurbished' police pistols- they were sb's with the heel mag catch- while it may be the early 80's since they were manufactured , they're still on the market
