Some time back my SIL presented me with a JC Higgins (Husqvarna HVA) in 30/06. The gun belonged to his late father so it was special to Jeff, so he wanted to use it as well. The gun had several cracks around the top and bottom behind the mag well and some on the forend as well and needed some att'n before further use. I had the gun sent to a fellow in Ontario who was highly recommended for such repair and had it bedded as well. In the mean time I located a M8 4x Leupold and some Weaver style rings.

Finally got it all together. The repairs were perfect and the scope worked well on the action.

Here is the first and only group I shot with it to sight in using Imperial RN ammo a couple days ago. I am assuming they are 180s.

Hard to argue with those range results and I like the design of the stock. Not a lot that rifle couldn't be used for with predictable results.

That stock works very well with a scope and fits me well. My SIL is about the same size as me so should work for him to. He is a new shooter, so this will be a good start for him.

Now I need to find some more of that Imperial RN ammo.

Nice. They used to be a "sleeper" in the used gun world. Husqvarna action, chrome lined High Standard barrel and stock by High Standard too.
