I am in for one of these for sure. Going to need to find the cash though! Its a 50% deposit of whatever your rifle ( options included) costs then the rest when the rifle is finished, correct?

What do lead times look like? I want one, but only if I can get it before going back to school in July. Otherwise I'll have to wait until after graduation.
If that's the case, you'll probably have a deposit, as long as delivery would be before summer. Fingers crossed, I'll be happily following along!
Edit: would i be able to take this into the USA? I remember that the MH was classed as a weapon of war, so they couldn't be sold in USA. But does that also effect temporarily importing?
Yes the design cost, but also the neck on the line considering our new Liberal Federal Government. What would the market for this be if they go restricted? ATRS has balls so big they need a wheelbarrow to carry them around. Even at a $3200 price point they are not getting rich here. Top end materials, costly machinery, and skilled talented people are not cheap.

If you let the fact that there is a Liberal majority stop you from doing what you love, then you've already given up and surrendered, without them even having to pass the legislation that you're so afraid of. I personally intend to make them fight for every inch of my freedoms that they intend to take.
The MH is approved for temporary import into the USA, along with our AT15. Therefore it is reasonable to conclude that the Modern Varmint should also be alright for temporary import. Summer 2017 should not be a problem.... but highly unlikely to have them out the door by summer 2016.
We are optimistic that that late spring 2016 delivery's will start to happen, but until we have written confirmation from the SFSS?RCMP we are stalled on full production. In the meanwhile we will testing the crap out of the few guns we are just finishing off right now.
I am sure with the quality invested in those rifles, you can bring them to average sub MOA performance... JP.
bump?Any idea on weight yet?
I am interested if you make it in 30 Remington AR and comes in at 7lbs or less
First you're talking about spring 2016, now before summer 2017?
Just curious, as there is lots of sales coming soon and would like to have some money around for a pre-order if needed. Then again, don't want to tie up close to 2k, if the rifle is going to be 1.5 years away.
I'm also wondering what's up with this. Summer 2017????
Well having a modern hunter and talking with others with one and seeing groups posted there have not been a consistent number of guns consistently shooting sub moa. I can shoot sub moa easy with other rifles but the best I've managed is moa and consistently around 1.5. I've had a friend who shoots quarter inch groups try and get around what I am.
Don't get me wrong if the varminter is shooting one moa or close I'll get one but your paying a premium price. A gun that will likely be close to 4K should be consistently producing 1 moa groups. Other companies guarantee it in that price range.
Those two quotes are talking about two different things. One quote is talking about the time frame when they will be allowed to be imported to the USA ( summer of 2017 ) , the other quote is talking about Canadian sales and when the first batch would possibly be ready for delivery to you. ( late spring 2016 ).I'm also wondering what's up with this. Summer 2017????
