Sons of guns

Why has nobody referred to Stephanie as a Swamp Donkey yet? Happens in every Sons of Guns thread here.....

Oops, done.

I managed to stick with the show until they aired one episode where they starting fussing over a buffer. They went on and on about how important the right buffer has to be, and how hard they are to make, and made it into this big mysterious magical object that only special people know how to make and if they didn't get it right they were so screwed.

They did this in a shop that made ARs, with all the parts on the back wall. Seriously, grab a couple of different buffers, run the gun and see what works if you ain't sure.

Drama. Dumb.

How about re-barreling a firearm without checking for headspace?
Quality gunsmiths.

Family Guns is good. Rich, spoiled collectors, but harmless.

i don't watch it for the guns...

Someone, using the black arts of Photoshop should rotate the right eye 180° so she looks like a true trailer park, hillbilly wife (no offense intended or implied to persons living in trailers or hillbillies), maybe chip out a tooth.

This exactly, i caught 2 minutes of it as they fitted an off the shelf stock, and slid on some pretty standard looking BUIS. Even my wife wasn't impressed, and she doesn't know much about gun stuff.

If you guys have netflix and want some good viewing, check out "happy people: a year in the taiga" Werner Herzog documentary about hunters in Siberia.

Happy People was an awsome movie, REAL "mountain men" of siberia.

More of the story on the FFL problems

They have the HK 416 as the SEAL firearm used for the Bin Laden escapade. They did not use a 10 inch version, according to my sources. Much of the TV Discovery Channel should be taken with a big grain of salt!

He also said that all the guys customize their own guns so they are familiar with them and can shoot them better. I guess this was his way of getting them to make a 10" model for him. Since it's a new model, the SEAL cannot own it, plus he's retired, so what's the point of customizing it for him? Oh well.

I watched it, I like looking at guns. I envy their laws and ability to own the auto's and silencers and snub nosed pistols. wish I could have that titanium silencer on the end of my AR.... :nest:
