I have a lead on a SKS out of Vernon (B.C) a guy I know referred me to a GunSmith (Del Selin) who apparently "Specializes" in Used/Russian stuff, so if my information holds up I should be joining up with the Red crew soon.
Also on a side note it is my first rifle
I have a 12 Gauge ithaca side by side, but im never ever going to shoot it, i have had 2 gunsmiths look at it but it still has a double fire problem. My Ex-Step-Dad gave it to me after it turned his whole shoulder green, so im going to clean her up and just keep her as a showpiece (its is about a 120 years old after all.... thats a good run for a shotgun).
Any rate once I get this SKS what are some must do improvements? It is going to be my Brush/Small game gun, I hope a friend of mine will teach me to reload my own ammo so I can get the most performance out of it. But keeping in mind I dont plan on competing but I want a gun that can perform in the real world what are some things you guys will suggest? also my budget is closer to $100 every two weeks that i can spare so nothing crazy eh
