Sooooo RPD ANYONE!?!?!??

I am. I'll keep the original look but in some real nice wood.

Hey, I help (by getting beers, coffees and smokes, lol) I do my share with him. ButtWhat is his name ;-)

Just keep in mind that the hard work may be undone in one good range session. I recall the varnish boiling out of the forends on our Egyptian RPDs. If you're redoing the wood you may want to build in a heat shield of some sort.

I am unable to post pictures but I can tell you that the drum holds a fifty round link, you can either fire it from the drum or take it out and have someone hold it while it fires and feeds.

The drum holds 2 x 50 rounds belts, one of which has a starter tab.

Nice looking forward to seeing that, as per Buttwhat's i'll try and qoute him proprrly next time :p

Not to be a di** but what does that change ?

I really don't get people who want chrome line barrells on a Semi.

It's a semi auto that uses 100+ round belts....Chromed lined barrel will have a longer life and resist wear better than a non chrome lined will, especially with sustained fire that heats the barrel up. If you plan on using your RPD like a bench rest rifle then disregard.

Actually i do own an sks, a real sks. Among other rifles. Thats great because your turd would probably make a harder more accurate barrel. Remember to buy the extra large targets when your rpd comes in so we can see your 2ft groups because your barrels gonna be shot out the first 100 rds.

Hahahah ahah that was the best comment I have ever heard. Kudos for such imagery and a way with words (where the hell is the clap emoticon)!!!!!!

Ahh, I see you have plenty of experience with the RPD. Carry on.

Easy dude. We are wood workers and know how to deal with situations. I appreciate the kind hearted words tho, carry on.

I guess you really haven't seen the work we do on the cz's then. Remember the cz handguard that melted off??? Well ours never have and I have tested them to the full extent. We know how to seal and finish them but again i appreciate all you worry

ROLF!!!!!

Sounds like some lame wannabe superhero group. lol

This site never disappoints. Wood workers trying to tell a warfighter what's what with a gun that he's actually used in the Middle East, instead of just reading about and drooling over on the Internet.

I mean wood situations not firefights.

What's lame is you don't understand what I'm trying to convey and some dude trying to tell me how to work with wood. Military or not.

Sealant won't change the fact that wood handguards get hot under sustained fire. Were you testing your Vz with full capacity mags?

This thread and the response from mods and want to be mods is a perfect example of why the knowledgable posters with real world experience have left the site over the years. Flash back to 2005 timeframe and who used to post here. How many are left?
