Like the title says, trying to get a BCL-102 or RDB in before Oct - cash is in my hand - as I want the .308 for this falls hunt. Ya ya, purists with bolts bite thy tongue.
I had originally thought a Ruger Gunsite Scout (I'm not a super tall guy at just under 6') and like the shorter barrels for the bush.
But I think either the 102 or the RDB are just super sweet firearms and will be at home both in the bush and on the range bench. Bullpups do have a trigger that leaves some 'trigger princesses' to cry foul, but the stock tavor I have can shoot a 6'' steel plate at 200 yards to the point of boredom - with a 6x scope. So you can shoot them well if you spend a little time with them.
And that's why I need to source one out now, to give me a few trips to tighten down my zero, get a feel for it, and try a few different brands of ammo out to give me a 3'' group at 200, which will mean a nice clean shot in the bush. This bush has open spaces, but the people I know who go this way and my personal experience tramping around those woods - almost everything is shot under 100 - in some cases well under.
That's my story. Help me make it a reality. Google didn't find me a thing in stock anywhere. Hoping vendor's will chime in - like I said - cash in hand.
