I am not a very handy person. But I do have an armourers wrench. How complex will the task be to remove the barrel from the AR (a piston driven Stag) and then install in the new Spectre? Will I need go, no go gauges for head spacing? Most likely I will need a vice...anything else I should plan on having? Thanks in advance for any guidance/advice.

Now you need to make and sell a gas port cover. A simple sleeve with a clamp? Close off the port. Some will be able to rotate their gas blocks 90 degrees and clamp...

To the SBI Team

First off I am very much looking forward to this.

However I have been thinking about this build and the tooling I have on hand.

With that in mind, I want to know what vice block fixture will work with your upper??

I always secure an upper in a vice when torqueing on a barrel.

A Barrel Torque Tool will not work as there is no access from the rear of the receiver

A DPMS claw will not work as I am under the impression that the eyelet spacing is different.

Will a Clam-shell style block work?

If none of the above, are you going to provided said fixture.

This is an important issue that needs to be addressed.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

We have designed a vise block for our receiver. Vise blocks from any other firearm will not work. Simple soft jaws will work as well since the receiver is flat on both sides.

To the SBI team:

I very much appreciate the speedy response!! Ah excellent!!

So in a similar fashion as to how I work on JR carbines.

I look forward to seeing your block!!

Any thought to licencing out the design to some of the other Canadaian manufacturers of semi auto receiver sets that have recently had there frt pulled? ATRS, Maccabbe, BCL, Sterling, etc.

Question about spring assist. Is it possible for the end user to drill a hole at the rear of the receiver, put a correct length rod in that hole to connect the the bolt carrier and the buffer to get spring assist?

Just an update for everyone... This week we are starting production of uppers full time. Initially we're keeping our batches small which will get rifles out sooner. As production gets going we are going to bring more CNC machines online.

Just wondering here, will the receiver set come with a bolt body or will we need to purchase it separately? I know your upper comes with it according to your website.

Can't wait for this to finally be available!!
Cheers!
