If you even had an inkling about ammunition and firearms, you would know a very light bullet would carry no distance whatsoever. Kinda like throwing a piece of Styrofoam.

Do you remember the Second Chance ThunderZap?? A polymer hollowpoint that weighed (IIRC) about 40 grains in a .38 Special case. It would do an honest 2200 fps out of a 2" S&W M60 . I had a dozen or so rounds and they would blow a hole in a side of beef 4-6" in dia at about 12' and teh bullet would turn into plastic dust, basically; but at 100' you could (allegedly at least) catch them in your hand. The ones that I had were consistent and fairly accurate.

Yes, shooting polymer bullets that weigh about 30 grains wouldn't hurt you at all.
