Sporting Clay Shooters

Did you send your barrel to Canada or Texas to have fitted? When buying tubes I have had really good service from the Texas guys. Had them here within a week. I think I may have import problems sending them a barrel?

You can send the Barrel through Lawry Shooting Sports In Caledonia On. They then send it to Briley in Texas.

I hate Choke tubes.

May I ask what it is you don't like about choke tubes? Just curious......

I have a model 12 field I customised in 1992 with custom wood, simmons rib, forcing cone lengthened and sent it to Briley and had a set of series 2 choke tubes installed. At that time the choke work was $129 installed with choice of 3 chokes, $20 extra if I wanted chokes with steel shot compatability. I went for the lead shot chokes and later ordered steel tubes when non-toxic shot became mandatory for waterfowl. The installation work was excellent and you'd never know they are there unless you look in the muzzle. They are flush mount, thin wall..ie: no barrel swaging on the muzzle end so aesthetically it appears original. They are without doubt the best patterning tubes I have ever fired and they turned my model 12 into a superb multi-use gun for me. I shoot skeet, trap, waterfowl and upland with it.

The 5 chokes I have for it are as follows:

Lead Shot................SK1
..............................IMP MOD.
..............................XFULL

Steel.........VX Series..IMP.CYL
.............................. FULL

I am a "fiddler". I am trying to break the habit but it's not easy. If I don't have choke tubes I have nothing to fiddle with.

Hi Covey:
I have had all of them done in Texas. Three in the past 7 years a 28 and 410 870 wingmaster and a super x1.
Unreal work as you know. Now you have to send them through the canadian distributor in Ontario I have been told but don't hold me to that. Price is still the same for the most part however from what I can see.

I paid a bit extra and had the extended ones supplied on the 870 28 and 410. I like those.

Well you should have bought the two x1 barrels I sold on the site just before xmas a 28" mod and a 26" IC. I have no extra ones now for you.

I didn't see them. I tried a 26" on my gun and didn't like it. I would rather stick with the 28".

Both sold for 200 each and shipping to two different buyers out west. The mod went the 1st day listed and the ic about 4 days

Then you have finally mastered the other habit?:p

Not yet.
I am going to send back the Dresses you sent me. I don't go in that direction. Sorry your walk in closet is full, maybe you should go back in and come out at another time. :p
