Boy I'm sick of going to the range and having to beg for a moment of time squinting into another guy's spotting scope to look at my target.
I'm not likely to go on many more backpack sheep hunting trips in my life so I probably don't need (and can't afford anyway) a real high-end spotting scope.
I need one for the range and maybe for scouting distant drainages mule deer hunting once in a while.
Would the Bushnell Trophy class of scope fit my purposes?
Or should I splurge and jump up over the $300 mark for something better?
I see most scopes come in 15 - 45 power or 20 - 60.
What is more practical? I'll bet over 45 is way too wobbly isn't it? I remember using a friend's spotting scope last year and the higher power we used, the harder it was to pinpoint something and harder to focus.
