Spray painted rifles

Here's a few I did with the covid lock down...combo of airbrush and rattle can. Paint and Dura cote were used . First one is my Arachnaphobia 270...it's a Steven's 200. Second one is also a Steven's 200...my first attempt at digital camo. Some stencils were used but then started creating my own patterns.

This one is my favorite I did...my 8 twist stainless Tikka T3 Varmint. Sporting a 6-24x50 Bushnell Trophy Extreme scope.
I call it the Sniper Viper...lol
My viper was painted freehand with my detailing brushes.

I cut my own stencils, usually to do a tiger stripe pattern, out of painters tape.

Always had good results.
GI Joe style Tiger Strips is where its at.
Pic doesn't do it justice.

What paint do you use? Just a regular spray paints from Canadian Tire ? Doesn’t it give up too much smell when hunting?

Used Rustoleum Camo, and Beauti-tone. After a fairly short while it off gasses and hardens to where it doesn't really smell. Hoppes #9 and Butch's gun oil smells quite a bit more, as well as probably just about every other oil and cleaner out there.

Played with some brake clean and a rag the other night trying to make my paint job more tiger stripey.

Full disclosure, there was more whiskey than brake clean and my "work" took less time than it did to refill my glass.

Yes or no? I was thinking about touching up around the dark spots with some tan and a brush but I'm not that invested in the project. I literally just rubbed through the lighter coat to the brown base and called it good.

Let me know what you think. Next project, paint the mags.....

I mean I’m sure it’ll help with camouflage- but whether it looks good or not, I guess only you and the whiskey can say.

Two old ARs from way back in the before times. I did the NEA/Norc hybrid, and a previous owner did a great job on the quad rail unit.

They were both very fun guns to shoot. Some days I wonder where they are now . . .
That TAN AR was #### lol

Installed the barrel with the reciever in between my leg. Good in tight. Still chuckle at you knocking it and then finding out it was a quality build..

I lost track where it went.
