Can’t believe it’s not wearing S&K’s! :)
 
Although S&K rings look great, I find even the lowest ones they make are too tall. Leupold DDs like chucks come in extra Low and my conetrols are pretty low too. Especially important with 36mm scopes.
 
Would have been my 404 Jeffery, but its torn apart for another “do over”. Wont use my 375 Ruger because its not the King everyone says it is..... So I will probably just use my 338 Federal :)

Agreed. It was chuck that got me on S&K’s is all. I have about 1/8” between my barrel and objective on my 7x57 M70

Small shiners on a two hook rig on dropper loops, one hook at 12" and another at 36"... when they are really going, we get them two at a time... and yes, great eating... I would take them over walleye every time.

We called them rock bass when I was catching them as a kid. Got most of them on half a dew worm.

These are different from rock bass, Ted... the pictured fish are "Black Crappie." Rock bass are in the same family, but a different sub-species... black crappie get much larger, we get some 2-3 pounds and their flesh is translucent and sweet.... kinda like walleye on a vegan diet. ;)

Sorry for my lack of knowledge it is a copy of a McMillan or a McMillian Echols ? Does it have a cheek piece ?

Tikka T3 Hunter in .30-06 using Barnes TTSX bullet took my bear last year. Working up a load for my Ruger Scout in .450 Bushmaster with Barnes TSX bullet for this spring if able.

It is a stock built by D’Arcy Echols that McMillan is reproducing in fibreglass or carbon fibre. Here is the cheek piece. This is another rifle of mine in the same stock.

Could really do with out the cheek piece don’t find they tend to do anything unless you like the look of them. Have stocks with them but would like em even more if they didn’t have it.
