Spring Into Summer WCRA Level III May 19 - 22

These days, and for various reason, the clubs pull out the well used, see through wall sections, along with overturned barrels and various moving target swingers and spinners. Less cost, less effort and higher match fees.

I sure hope you meant "some" not "the".

I have never run an EESA Match that did not require a minimum of 4 Saturdays in advance to build props then 4 more days to build the stages.....come to think of it at my last one YOU were there helping build them for two of those days my good man!!

Since we're completely off topic now :D

I like the see through walls...

Better air flow (especially indoors)
Doesn't bounce the comp gas (and noise) back in my face as bad
Lighter for setting up and tearing down
Much more spectator friendly...

lets all keep repeating ourselves..maybe someone is listening ?

Not to beat a dead horse...but I don't see the connection between cost and round count...

A high round count doesn't mean a quality match. In fact...when the match is designed specifically for round count...it gets pretty freaking boring (shoot 8 rounds...move two feet, shoot 8 rounds...move two feet..shoot 8 rounds...yawn....)

Note...this is not a refection on any of the matches you referenced...just the spirit of the post

Let's beat that horse just a little more,,, the poor horsie.

You keep saying this and I keep saying, most of us agree to that, BUT we still would like higher rnd counts with great stages. A match can have 5 FANTASTIC BLOW MY LOAD stages, and be only 90 rnd. count, so should we pay $200 for the match cause the stages were so cool ?

There has to be a good balance of good stages and a few extra rnds where you can add them or by squeezing in one more stage or two, if possible.
some clubs overlap stages with new set of targets and mix up the stage design a bit and Viola, another stage , Like Storm does.

And yes, most of us do see the connection between rnd cnt. and cost...as above, to a degree... with some good stages to match.... more stages/rnds. also more work involved to set up, thus more cost may also be warrented...as would cool stages that took lots of time to build, etc...

Summer Slam is good example.. high round count and good mix of Stages and very reasonable match fee...

I'll even come up with a formula for clubs to follow on how much to charge for their matches and post to see what others opinions on it are.....

This we agree on :D and videotaping friendly too, without having to bump into the RO.

I meant to EESA as an exception but got called away and submitted prior. For that error of omission I do apologize.

It is not a matter of which style is better. The newer style has a much lower cost which is not being passed on.

I assume you have a detailed revenue / cost breakdown for the matches in question? (which of course would include what the host club expects for the use of the ranges for the duration? Remember...the members of the host club that do not shoot IPSC...are giving up the ranges so the "guests" can make use of the facility and there is a cost associated with that...)

...you speak for the general population now? Or these are your own personal opinions??

As a fiscally responsible Project Manager...I look forward to your...ahem...formula.

You will of course include the detailed revenue / cost breakdown I mentioned before? Otherwise it's just more of your own personal opinion with noting to back it up...

the stages look great. It will be a fun and challenging match. I am elated that I will have the oppurtunity to assist in this match. BTW, whoever said that it is the same as three level I's to a level 3 match, I gots to have some of that medication it is taking.

One should endeavor to quote accurately. :D

Rumor has it there is a bunch of competitors from Quebec coming, including JPD. That makes this match even more interesting.

And the rumors are now confirmed! :D Me and Niki will be making the trip together. Looking forward to a nice match! Knowing who the match
director(s?)/stage designers are, I am not too worry. I'm sure we're gonna have a blast:cheers:

Elated eh?

The Workers List is now on the website, at the end of the Squads section. Thanks to everyone that volunteered, but we just couldn't accomodate everyone. See Update #4 on the Homepage. If anyone can't make their work assignment please let us know as soon as possible.
