They take standard 1911 parts, which are available from a variety of sources.

I would definitely choose a Springfield over a Kimber or S&W. The Range Officer model looks appealing in that it forgoes two of the items that I most dislike that are commonly found on most "full feature" 1911s these days: forward slide serrations and a full-length guide rod.
