if it's along the lines of what I'm thinking...Lily's, at least wild one's, not the hardier garden varieties, are very weak and they wilt at a moment's notice when something untoward happens.Eastern Lily's? explain that statement.
There's no reason why the two of you have to enjoy all the same activities, she has hers, and you can have yours. You just need them to be mutually agreeable, and all is well. If taking her on the hunt isn't going to be something she enjoys, don't sweat it. Its nice to have some things you do on your own. It makes for a better relationship in some ways and you appreciate each other more. I don't go to candle parties and baby showers, and I don't expect my wife to come deer hunting. No strain on the relationship whatsoever.
I fantacize about meeting a women gun nut, who hunts/handloads/guts deer etc, but then I think do I really want to have a women who I can"t get away from? Imagine trying to sneak out hunting without her coming with you?
Maybe leaving them at home is"nt a bad thing either.
I agree leave her at home come hunting time.Seriously if she freaked out over a pickeral (an ugly but tasty fish)what is she going to do if you or one of your hunting buds shoots a beautiful bambi? How are you going to feel if she goes off on a PETA rant on one of your hunting buddies that bags a deer.
Either you would lose your hunting buddy or your girlfreind depending on which side you take. Not worth the aggravation.Take her out "hunting" and camping with a camera.
If your talking about just you and her going you could try with some small game.Maybe some grouse if she can handle that try her on something cute, like some "bunnies".Little steps might bring her around.
My old lady was the same way,I leave her at home. She'll eat the moose and deer I bring home but wants nothing to do with how it gets there.I'm pretty sure she's just pretending to herself that it came from the grocery store.

Your fantasy is my nightmare. I married my wife because she is "girlie" and eats wild game. She doesn't like to get dirty so other than an occasional evening duck hunt, she doesn't want to go. She can't stand to see the animal cleaned but does pony up to work around the carcasses hanging in the garage. She loves bear and deer and moose and grouse and I have a few recipes for duck and goose she likes. I have to cook it though (which is okay since my other hobby is cooking).
Having her on the hunt full time? Forget it. September to November is MY time. She gets me at her beck and call the other nine months.
My girlfriend is very girly and doesn't like to see animals die, or blood but wants to spend time with me at my camp![]()
I landed afew really nice pickeral this weekend and she nearly cried because I wouldn't let them go, then she nearly threw up when I cleaned them then wouldn't eat any when I fried them up (Damn they were good to, getting hungry just thinking about them!) and she wants to spend time at my camp during hunting season. She'd probably have a heart attack if I shot bambi
Anyone ever have this problem before? Is there anything that can help the situation or will she just get over it?
"Sept to november, man what about fishing season lol.
In all my hearts honesty...and no, its honesty, your posting this on a public forum, so I am just saying... i've been there, and done that... and I usually "myself" found out this "anti" s**t before I even ask em out, or they me... I say, if you can make her change, then all the power to ya.. but if she is going to get the paw in your pride and make you feel uneasy about your sport "OUR HERITAGE" then f**k her, and kick her to the curb and find a real woman!![]()
