Hey everyone. I'm looking to buy my first rimfire rifle and I can't decide between the SR-22 and buying a 10-22 and the marauder kit.

What do you think is better? Can I go wrong with either or does it just come down to a preference of looks?

Thanks for the help!

you can get sr22 from wss right now on special for over $425(i forget the price exactly) And get the marauder kit. Total would be $650 plus taxes etc...

Get both types, then you dont have to decide.

If you got a 10/22 around or can get one for cheap get the Marauder.

If not get the SR22

Either way you'll be a happy camper. Nothing like hitting the range or a local gopher field and blowing through a brick . . . or two ;)

Took a buddy out today, he had some 10/22 mags, and I have 4. I brought my SR-22 and my Marauder (he wanted to try them both to see which he liked better) we burnt through 2 bricks of ammo rather quickly.... I'd say less then 1 hour. With 10 mags total, the only thing slowing you down is the reloading. :D

By the way, he decided on both. Just gotta swing it by his wife now.

Just picked mine up from whole sales sports on sale 439 $... took 2 days to ship. will be here monday...

Go with the SR22... the plastic kit looks cheesy...

nothing plastic or polymer is EVER rock solid!
the OP needs to decide what they want in a rifle, a Marauder is just what it is, theres no super modding it up, an SR22 on the other hand accepts all ar15 parts for furniture, forends, rails, buttstocks etc

Yeah, I hear yah on that one. That's what usually ends the fun, get tired of reloading not of pulling the trigger.

The SR22 reminds me of the old machine gun game at the fair, the one where you try and shot out the star.

Tons of fun for Cheap!
