Quick test at the range during steel challenge last night- It ran 100% over 40 rounds for me, then over another 20 for some buddies, eeeexcept for one. He got 3 FTF failures in 5 rounds. Weird. So I took that same mag, loaded it back up, and dumped 5 with no problems. Apparently the Siberian can be limp wristed? Lol.

Recoil impulse with a Lantac Dragon-ish brake (Lol a knockoff from TNA a few years ago) felt good. Not quite as nice as my tuned up SLR (Low mass bcg, JP SCS, adjustable gas system), but it doesn't feel like it's over-gassed like soooome people's ARs (*cough* *cough*TheJeff). And I didn't have to throw the better part of $800 at it either.

Overall, I'm impressed. Some friends and I had some very negative impressions of NEA/BCL, and this has kind of started to turn that around. We'll see what happens over higher round counts (I'm gonna watch the gas system pretty close), but initial impression is that they nailed it.

Check your mag release Button, it may loosen up a bit and cause the mag to not sit properly.
May cause an feeding issue

Hey all... Today i fired my siberian for the first time. I had tough time making the mag lock in to position after fiddling i gave up and called my RO and he helped.

Looks like i had to lock the bolt open for mag to insert completely. Rookie mistake. my first 5.56 rifle. :)

Anyway, after 5 rounds, bolt is open and after the new mag, why the action lever is still at the front ? its moving freely till the end and then i have to cycle it ?

is it how it should work ?

So that's how the non-reciprocating charging handle works. It only pulls the bolt open, it has no provision to push the bolt forward. You only need to use it when the bolt is in the closed position. If the bolt is locked back, throw a mag in, and hit the bolt release lever on either side. You can pull the charging handle all the way to the rear to release the bolt catch if you want, but it's faster/easier to just hit the bolt release.

I find loaded mags are a bit harder to lock into place, but I think that’s because they’re new and just need to be wore in a bit.
Also the non reciprocating bolt handle do have a small indent,to help it stay closed.

Many AR mags are ####. I am not a big fan of the Cross mags, the MFT are nicer, PMAG's are the best. it is a challenge in itself for every gun manufacturer to deal with that design. It's really bad how AR mags are held into place. A little notch on one side, yeah right.

it's all about your manual of arms. if you are racing then you manage ammo and never let your gun run dry. this means that the bolt hold-open is only really required for clearing complex jams. however this does require the ability to seat a magazine on a closed bolt. when full some mags don't have enough remaining movement in the follower to compress enough to seat on a closed bolt. some do. those that don't are fixed with a bit of filing to the legs on the follower.

or hey, five round mag dumps from the hip (stock folded of course) for your instagram feed. bolt locks open when done, insert next mag, push the button and it makes a cool sound when the bolt drops, repeat.

oh i see .. after inserting new mag i have to just release it. instead of using the lever. got it. Will try next time.

Guys I don’t know if this has been discussed. Is it possible for a 3rd party or BCL themselves to redesign the piston rod to be a 2 piece structure with a return spring?

I’m assuming within a year TNA will have aftermarket support for this platform like they did with the WK. it’s proving to be a popular choice and the serial numbers are getting up there

I put a trigger tech ar drop in into mine and it worked perfectly and is a huge improvement over the factory.

May as well throw my review in too.

Bought an early model. Serial is in the first 50. Got the new firing pin but had no issues with the original. Only have ran 55 grain steel case ammo from hornady and barnul. Hornady was just over an inch. Barnul closer to two. 53 coyotes so far. Extra high vortex rings and a 4-12x56 vortex hog hunter scope is high enough and and comfortable to get behind.
Only problem I have had is if I try and close the bolt quietly before a stand the rifle won’t sometimes go into battery. If you use the bolt release button it loads 100%.
