SRV2 Siberian Reviews

I just tryed federal gold match ? 69 grain, it was terrible.
I honestly think you’re going to have to reload to get this thing to shoot 1.5 MOA consistently.
And I don’t think a 1-4 power scope is gonna cut it .

I didn’t realize it was 1-7 twist though, I thought 1-8 was the most popular twist , for these type rifles.

I am kind of shocked, maybe I will try the new RUAG stuff, you never know, I always had luck with the Fiocchi 55gr.

Has anybody changed their stock?
I’d really like to go with a Magpul CTR stock, non folding version, but can’t find the correct adapter.
Any ideas on where to look?

Thanks

It's just a pic rail interface for the stock. A few companies make pic rail to buffer tube adapters. Midwest Industries is one, I think Dlask had some of their adapters in stock?

Also if you can wait, BCL is.making a 1913 rail to buffer tube adapter; they've shown sample pictures on their Instagram

Anyone has the all black version yet? I would like more info on its internal. Have they upgraded the gas system or not?

Why would the black be any different? The gas system (like everything else on 180 based rifles) showed some weakness, but so far the cases are very low. I have heard of 2. One guy, obviously a retailer, mentioned on another forum that they have sold close to 100 and not one single problem.

Thanks for the heads up.

Just another remark. The newly imported RUAG 223 ammo is optimized for a 10:1 twist, the SRV2 has a 7:1 twist, so I'd rather stick with another match grade ammo for those "tight groups". LOL, waiting for comments.

In case you can’t see the pic, it’s 223 wylde 1-8 stamped on the barrelView attachment 679053

Pulled the trigger on one of these, hoping for good manufacturing luck. Anything I should do to it before shooting?

I don't think so. I looked at several over the last month, they all have the new firing pin, all have the gas block set screws treated with locktite and all bolts were solid.

Just got my Siberian from TNA a couple days ago. Came with the updated firing pin. Tore the whole thing apart, and I'm actually impressed. I was worried that BCL was still doing NEA things and ####ing everything up. But the machining and finish looks good (Not just good for BCL, but actually good. This coming from a perfectionist machinist).

The gas system was aligned correctly, the set screws lined up with the dimples on the barrel, and all of the threads had loctite on them. Fit between the upper and lower seems pretty good (As good or better than most ARs). I'm bringing it to the range today to put a few rounds through it, so we'll see how that goes.

The only part that didn't look stellar was the bolt, but as long as it runs I guess. Aaaand it seems like the extractor spring is a little weak; I was able to move it fairly easily by hand. Wonder if that's gonna be a problem. Also the lack of any sort of buffer behind the bolt carrier seems... Odd. I guess it will have slowed down most of the way by then, but still? Might look into one, if it doesn't reduce the bolt travel too much and cause issues.
