SRV2 Siberian Reviews

At Taccom I was told by BCL’s owner that the prototype BCG was additively manufactured (steel) but that the production guns would not use this. Evidently they did not properly test the BCG using the new manufacturing method before releasing the gun.

I was hopeful for this gun but a number of issues have come to light since it was released that have seriously cooled my interest.

How many have gone out the door? And how few or many are the failures? In these times where people are reluctant to talk about owning a box-fed semi-auto, it may be harder to tell. We will see.

On a less dreary note, does anyone have a good idea for an alternative stock option using the rear pic rail? I'm not loving the Zhukov.

Any Midwest 1913 stock or AR buffer tube fixed or folding adapter from Red Deer Shooting Center or the Shooting Edge should work. You could get the fixed length folding AR-180 1913 stock from Brownell's, assuming it can clear the border, or maybe passing through using IRunGuns if you want to be certain. Midwest is also releasing a Zenico-styke 1913 folder with variable length and comb height for their Alpha AK line. Good luck!

Register for warranty, send them an email, turnaround time is 2 weeks with free shipping. BCL is not NEA. I wonder how long it would take if your US made firearm goes to sleep.

Give them a chance.

Can the warranty remedy the fact BCG is made out of pot metal? Calling medieval Europe to help their fellow descendants with metallurgy technologies....

Is that bolt carrier cast!?? It's comically thin...

Looking at the breakage point it looks like it was either a cast or MIM part, then had some extra machining done to it. It definitely is not machined from solid material. You can see the porosity in the material itself. Not exactly something that would stand up to punishment

Nah way too much money to have something out on warranty continuously. Fool me once type of scenario

Too bad people accept high priced garbage these days then defend it with stupid logic... BCL is a suckers market

This isn't just a BCL thing but it always surprises me how defensive people get with a particular brand like they're emotionally invested into this or that rifle.

It's everywhere. You are correct.

Saw a sponsor here offering some 9mm semis the other day for $2,399 as if it is a deal. A simple search on arsenalforce showed another sponsor selling it for $1699.

Was really hoping these were going to run. Will be interesting to see if this issue is more widespread...I'm no machinist or metallurgist but that sure looks like it's cast, and if so, I'd imagine we'll see more shattered bcg's.

I got to put a few rounds through a buddy's Siberian today and no bcg explosion... It's a low round count gun. Was real soft shooting (like most 180s are), nicely finished and easily the lightest of the available 180s that have a sealed up receiver. I'm curious to see how accurately it shoots 75s/77s and how it holds up to a higher round count.

Wow. One gun broke. Condemn them all. Seems fitting for the “thought process” of many sheeple today.
Only 300 rounds on mine so far. Let the flaming begin. Power to the sheeple!

You're clearly in combination of denial and self-justification of your questionable decision to purchase this rifle. Because of that you're insulting other people who point out to the issue.
There's no problem that one gun broke. It happens with any brand.
The problem is that it seems BCGs are not machined from solid piece but made of cast metal. You see no problem here? Try replacing your BCG with plastic one, it will be a faster learning curve.
