We need to bring these in an make it a huge deal! RCMP need to be stopped, and put in their place!

While you may be correct in principle... how much 'public support' do you think you will get in making this a 'huge deal'? I'm not talking from gun owners, I'm talking general public. Zero? Less that zero?

I'm not arguing that it wouldn't be cool or fun, or SHOULD be well within our rights to do. I'm saying there are hills that are worth dying on, and PERSONALLY, I wouldn't do that for this device.

I fully support your right to try to get these imported.. I'm just saying in MY opinion, we'd all be better off by taking that effort and apply it against something meaningful - like abolishing the long gun registry, or de-restricting the AR, or whatever. Making a 'huge deal' out of a bump firing device is not what I'd view as constructive.

Again - my personal views only. Either way I wish you luck in your endeavour... however fruitless it may seem to ME.

Thanks, but no thanks. In my opinion all this would do (other than waste ammo) is to draw unwanted attention. We have enough political/restrictive groups working against us.

I looked at a similar unit for 10/22's and mini 14's at knob creek in the states. BATF says their fine because the trigger is pulled for each shot. the action floats on bearing slides with springs making it rebound about a quarter inch from recoil. your trigger finger stays in place, the gun rebounds against it. They will consider it a mechanical device to function with the trigger and ban it on that account. not even worth the effort. And if it wasn't tossed under this, even the conservitive goverment would allow it to be OIC'd out of existance, it would be political suicide and the media would have a field day. To bad, they are fun, and cheap.

No way would it have enough energy to bump-fire...

Putting this on a 9mm AR would be pretty interesting, but those use different buffers (due to being straight blowback), so I'm not sure if it would work with one...
