Wicked thread. I just got the stag 10l Gi in 308. and am going to build a 6.5 upper and if I wasn't already stupid excited to do so before I am now lol. I have had guns my hole adult life but have never built any. I do have a Trigger Tech trigger in my NEA 15 and have had to low and behold change a few parts in it lol. I find it wicked that even in our little market how many choices we have for parts to build up what you want. Truthfully it can be a little overwhelming. It's not always so clear what fits what. And you look at the options and you can read days on opinions on what the "best" choices are!

My current goal is to get a stag 10L upper reciever and build out from there. I will at least initially use the BC that came in the gun for both uppers. I have know ideas really on barrels. I seen the Wilson Combat Match Grade Barrel 6.5 Creedmoor Super Sniper 24" 1-8 Twist SS. But I am going to have to do a ton more reading. I am not looking to go cheap necessarily however $1000 dollar barrels are more then I'm willing to spend. As this is just one of my pricey hobbies lol. anyways thank you guys I literally enjoyed all 25 pages of this thread!

I’m happy to hear that! I haven’t seen anyone build a lefty yet, keep us updated!

I got bored and decided to try some smoke photos again.

Took me a second there.

At first glance I was like did this dude really go to a sears photo studio to take pics of his gun. The smoke looks like that default background we all remember from school photos lol

Ya not too many people are a fan of the smoke. I’m still trying to figure out why. People said the photo of my Modern Sporter with red smoke looked like insulation. Maybe I need the grenade in photo.

That's what I thought too haha!

Maybe a little more of the background, put the gun in the foreground to one side, angle to get some foliage/mountains/whatever and the grenade going off?

Looks good to me, I like it. Just confused me for a sec

Hi everyone,

how many inches long do your stag according to the different configuration (buttstocks and barrels 18.5 and 20) ?

thanks

I'm on my 3rd BSF barrel now. The first was recalled because the fluting was cut too deep, the second they didn't cut the muzzle threads deep enough (tool was wore), and just received my third barrel today. RDSC threw in some swag to make up for it.

Magpul PRS, 18.6” barrel with ATRS brake is 40”

Magpul MOE, 19” barrel with no brake is 38.5”

Which stock has been your favorite so far? I'm putting together a Stag 10 with 20" barrel. No hunting, basically just bench shooting, but I would still like to avoid it being a super heavy rifle if I can...

Magpul MOE, six of the Stag10s have them. They are nice, but you have to put a QD sling attachment in them.
