Stag 10 build and range review

View attachment 195504View attachment 195503When I first got mine assembled and dry fired , I thought the trigger felt ok.
But after a range trip and a 100 rnds, it’s kinda sucky.
Takes forever to break:)
But I’m used to a 2 lb trigger ,in a bolt gun:)
No failures though.
I’ve got an SSP order, so that should fix that issue.

Griffin, have you been able to squeeze out any tighter groups since adjusting the gas block?

I swapped out the gas block and I also tried Nosler brass with the same load. The group got bigger, I shouldn't have changed two variables at once. I will try again with the Hornady brass.

Hey Griffen, how do you find the 4350? I got a couple lbs, but read it’s to slow for the .308.

I’ve some Sierra SMK,s , Varget and benchmark, to try in the morning.

I literally just grabbed it to load up more rounds. Lol. It’s seems to work good.

I’ve never reloaded 308 :( I will soon  most of the reloading books don’t use H4350, I imagine 4895 is one of the most common powders for 308.

41.5 gr H4350 143g ELD-X 2.800 COAL Hornady brass.

10 shots, 5 minutes between each shot. No wind.

First shot flew. I think the horizontal stringing is my fault, shoot and run to the truck and sit there for 5 minutes, repeat. The mosquitos were bad.

Alberta Tactical

I phoned them last week, they said they were out, and that they don't know the new price as they no longer get them straight from PR. Koth the distributor seems to now be supplying them. A price increase is obvious at this point. @$1,400 I'm just going to go with the BSF when they're back in stock.

Ready to rock and roll

Yeah... I don't know DILLIGAF, It's pretty nice; but to be sure you should lend it to me until mine shows up. :D

Varget and Bench mark powder.
I shot 4 , 5 nd groups and had 1 that was under an inch.

I encountered an issue though.
I loaded 5 rounds of Nosler to foul the barrel, which went as normal.
After that I had to single feed the rest,as the trigger would not reset.
It would load the round, but would not reset the trigger for the next round.

I installed a Geiselle SSP, yesterday and think I screwed something up.

Anyway here’s a pic of the group. 1.261 - .308 = .953..Lol
Also , I think the barrel isn’t the best:)

Finally got around to posting some pictures up. 500 rounds so far on 2 different range trips. One failure to eject at around the 100 round mark but other than that it's been awesome.

X3.

I was contemplating going with the Fortis Switch handguard as well but I could only find the keymod version so I decided to get the Midwest Industries mlok instead.

Where did you find the Fortis mlok?
