We were not asked to examine the barrel, and no mention of defect seems to have been detected by the gunsmith who did look at the rifle, so I really can't comment on why it is no longer shooting accurately. I can say that both Steve and myself run guns with the same barrels, same batch, and they shoot quite well.
I asked for a RMA # so the barrel can be returned to Arms East, and therefore be examined by Arms East but was refused since the part is out of warranty.
I didn't want to imply or assume "assistance in purchasing" means there's a deal somewhere between those words. If there was any deal it was not presented in a well manner since there was no actual offer of cost of replacement barrel in the original email response from Arms East which I have fully copied and pasted in my original post.
