Finished my Stag10 & XCR-M builds. For those that are curious how they stack up here is what I have found:
Stag10 Specs:
Faxon 20" Pencil Barrel
Lantac Dragon Brake
Stag BCG
Stag trigger - its actually quite good.
Raptor charging handle
ARMS 40 BUIS
Aim Sport M-Lok handguard
Burris PEPPR QR mount
Vortex Viper 2.5-10x32 illuminated mill ret.
Magpul furniture etc
Generic "Claw" sling
Stag10 = 13.4 lbs
Vs
XCR-M railed model "Accurized" by ROBARM
HB 18.5 "
ROBARM brake
ROBARM trigger
Hogue grip
Magpul AFG
GG&G AC30 scope mount
MI BUIS
Primary Arms 1-6x ACSS Ret.
Quick Cuff Sling
XCR-M = 13.6 lbs
Changed out the Magpul UBR stock for a MOE
Removed two of the rails
Magpul Pro Off Set Sights
Stag10 = 12.6 lbs
Added a MOE Enhanced Stock Pad
Added a LAW Tactical Folder to the MOE stock
Stag10 = 13.4 lbs
I'm not the best shot so they seem to get similar accuracy of 1.5 to 2" at 100 m with Hirtenberger 7.62X51 off a bipod with no rear support.
The big differences between the two rifles:
XCR is very front end heavy but easy to take down/clean & folding stock is nice.
Stag10 is very well balanced in the 12.6 lb spec. & off hand shooting is very good. I'm not a fan of the Law Tactical Folder due to the weight, but there is no balance issues.
Considering the accuracy is equivalent in these rifles shooting surplus ammo, it is my opinion unless one builds a Stag10 to be lighter weight then a XCR-M that the XCR-M holds the advantage due to the ergonomics, ease of cleaning & folding stock.
Next I will be putting the Stag10 on a diet & going a completely different direction.
