It will become instantly apparent whether or not he has been playing silly buggers with the CFC.
There was a prototype made by Rosciszewski at SAL. The gun pictured is certainly not a reproduction of the LB prototype.
Call one of the technicians listed above. Find out exactly what it is that you have bought. Let them run the serial number and the registration certificate number. If it comes back as a newly made open bolt semi auto Sten reproduction, great. If it is anything else, someone has been playing silly buggers.
Ask for a copy of the FRT printed report. All the relevant information will be there.
This is not the first time a sten has been adapted to take a drum. A prototype was built at Long Branch during WW2. The designer was a Pole called Rościszewski.
You hear it quite often, so many of the younger generations have no appreciation of our history.
The Rosciszewski gun used a gun driven mechanical magazine. It is a rectangular box, perhaps four times as long as it is wide. It does have rounded ends. Certainly isn't a drum, in the sense of the PPSh drum adapted to this creation. This may be the FIRST Sten adapted to use a drum! An original!
Does anyone have any pics of this conversion?
