"Sten" gun

Well I took it to the range and it does not really like lighter bullets so when I got the 147 grain into her she shot some nice groups at 75 yards. I am not an open sight guy but it did fairly well. It shoots a touch high and right but very consistent. SO I will need to take a brass drift and tap the front sight over a bit and take her back out. She got a box of AE, Winchester, and handloaded wolfs though her today so 150 rounds down range. It is like shooting a .22, the guys at the range loved her too. I even let my 8 year old squeeze a few off. Firing an open bolt is quite an experience.

At first I though the gun was no good. I placed the mag in, tickled the trigger to close the bolt and nothing, no click. I did it a couple more times and then I realized by chance that it is a slam fire type setupwith teh bolt holding open between shots. Hahaha I sort of felt like a tool but what a gem to shot. Man if this thing was full auto you could do a thousand rounds easy. The extra weight of the gun completely nillifies the recoil, ha what recoil. She is a gem boys. Group pics to come when I download them off my camera.
