same with smooth bore 22’s.If "end of the rifling" determined barrel length, then most all shotguns would have no barrel length.

It is actually, the fake suppressor slips over top of the barrel
It’s rifled all the way to the end
Interesting. Prorietary mags? Price?
The rifles do come with one x 5 rd magazine, but the reality is, most will want 10 round pistol magazines for this PCC.
Why even go to the trouble of making and selling 5 round mags? Thanks JR for the details.
Please do all a favour and include the 10 round mag in the box by default. For the reasons you state.
The few dollars saved on bundling a 5 rounder is time and money wasted for everyone involved.
This price point is about appealing to quality consumers who value their own time, and are likely buying 5+ mags as part of their package.
Thanks.
Because we are selling you a RIFLE that is non-restricted. What you feed into it after purchase is up to you.Why even go to the trouble of making and selling 5 round mags?
I get it, but we want to ensure everyone buying this rifle has at least one 5 round magazine for their RIFLE. This does suck as this particular magazine is more expensive than the pistol mags. But I think it’s important to supply the rifle with this magazine. Thanks JR for the details.

Still doesn’t makes sense. People would buy it without a mag if 10 round ones are in stock at whatever retailer is selling the RIFLE.Because we are selling you a RIFLE that is non-restricted. What you feed into it after purchase is up to you.
That's not necessarily true. Some may not want it, but many will. I won't ship with a pistol magazines in Canada... and I think it's super lame to get a gun without a magazines...Still doesn’t makes sense. It’s a waste on your part to make it and the consumer doesn’t want it (5 round mag)
Why not include both with the rifle then and charge an extra 50$!?!?!That's not necessarily true. Some may not want it, but many will. I won't ship with a pistol magazines in Canada... and I think it's super lame to get a gun without a magazines...
Unlike the R18mk3, this design platform is based primarily on the AKDAŞ SA9 carbine. Using this foundation, Sterling engineers did their magic in collaboration with Turkey and hence was born the R9Mk1. Most of the parts are done in Turkey, shipped in bulk to Canada for QC, assembly, testing and packaging. If you took the original SA9, the receivers would not interchange, nor would the bolts as we’ve really made this our own.
The 10.5 is threaded, but we can’t for the 18.6 as the counter boring negates that. The 6 inches of counter bore with the ports, really do a great job, so nothing more is needed.
As to the legality of the barrel length: our method of production is 100% correct and legal to preserve the minimum barrel length necessary. I hate to even utter the words; but if you look at the Swiss Arms rifles; the muzzle break is actually part of the barrel (one piece of metal) and the RCMP included it in their official length determination.
There are a number of 9mm MP5 style pistols in the FRT database, so we are comfortable with our choice. Back in the day, the original AR9s all used UZI mags… now those were a ##### to source. I still have mine.

These may not be for everyone, but I’m confident a lot of people, once they handle the rifle, will be impressed with the quality of the machining and functionality.
I’m guessing you’re shipping the rifle with the 5 rounder because of the possibility of the upcoming magazine ban?
I think you are doing the right thing and most of us are gonna buy more mags anyway so can just buy the 10 rounders afterwards
