Yes it does, any firearm to sell in Canada now must have an FRTI thought they said can't sell any firearms that don't have an FRT.. sooo doesn't that mean the R9 and Crypto?

Bingo. Yesterday's ban added another $9000 to my total of banned firearms the government has left in my safe. This brings the total up to around $75,000 (inclusive of the handguns I can no longer sell). No more guns for this guy until we have a conservative government.Nice to know the specs are available, now we just need a less ideologically bent govt. in Ottawa!
This is not true.Yes it does, any firearm to sell in Canada now must have an FRT
The Liberals should have to pay storage and interest.Bingo. Yesterday's ban added another $9000 to my total of banned firearms the government has left in my safe. May not be - but she- The DMin. made the statement at the news conference - I wouldn't trust it now. This is not true.
The Libs are pushing for legislation that a firearm must have a valid FRT.
There is no such legislation.
And compensation for lost enjoyment of property.... It's a bit shocking that even the idea of a mass private property asset "freeze" for "the proported greater good" , with no compensation, doesn't alarm more Canadians. The Liberals should have to pay storage and interest.

It's baby steps, then the next thing the Govt is seizing bank accounts of non violent dissidents and protesters with Flags..... protesting for bodily autonomy and freedom from health mandates for Canadians..... it all sort of sounds like wild consiracy , sad that it's now our history.
If you're local to our range, we have it for rental. That was my first reaction, but I'm coming around on it.... I think the biggest factor would be handling it and see how the lighter profile of the barrel feels.
Hopefully are local shooting ambassador of "fun times at the range for all" will be adding it to his arsenal of fun guns.....If you're local to our range, we have it for rental.
Reserve a lane and give it a try!

You haven't handled the thing or even seen it in person.Just a preference thing. Imo I think it absolutely destroyed the aesthetics of the rifle.
THIS. People need to actually read what was said / printed. They specifically said, "new" firearms. The R9 isn't new in those terms.the possibility of all new firearms requiring an FRT. There was nothing about this being retroactive for existing firearms.
The rifle handles very well and the lightened barrel is a stroke of genius for that. That was my first reaction, but I'm coming around on it.... I think the biggest factor would be handling it and see how the lighter profile of the barrel feels.
I did not experience any noticeable blowback into my face and I am operating under worst possible conditions for that. It's a simple blowback - so yes as a lefty, you are going to get a bit of gas and potentially debris (unburnt powder) to varying degree from almost nothing to some depending on the ammo you use.
Wear eye pro.
You haven't handled the thing or even seen it in person.Maybe reserve judgement till you have done both?

As a lefty, I have had no issues with ejecting brass or anything from the barrelYou're not getting hot brass flying back and burning your bare skin?
When I fire this rifle in a short sleeve I definitely get bits of hot brass coming through the slotted part of the barrel and burning my arms and the off hit to the face.
Hot Gas would be annoying enough, but hot Brass going down the barrel is very strange..... maybe it's unburned powder somehow deflecting back off the vents, that's a pretty severe deflection though to hit you in the face. You're not getting hot brass flying back and burning your bare skin?

I also want to change out the trigger badlyI'll fire in short sleeve next time. find it hard to believe with the slotted barrel way up there. i like my r9 and my brother and nephew are left handed and no complaints from them. Waiting for another R9 for them now. Only complaint is where the trigger upgrades!!!!!
WHUT? Are you an orangutan? You know you aren't supposed to hold onto the end of the barrel? You're not getting hot brass flying back and burning your bare skin?

Sorry not brass but lead from the actual bullet.WHUT? Are you an orangutan? You know you aren't supposed to hold onto the end of the barrel?
There is absolutely no possibility that brass is coming out of the ports in the hollow section of the barrel. How would that even happen?
I don't believe it. The bullet would have to exit the crown in pieces for that to have any possibility of occurring.Sorry not brass but lead from the actual bullet.
