Sterling Police Carbine

You know, I can remember when a Police Carbine could be bought directly from Sterling for the princely sum of 24 pounds. This was expensive at the time - a brand new Model 1950 Madsen, direct from Dansk Industrie Syndikat was US$40.

I read a story on-line, about an FBI firearms instructor. His primary weapon of instruction was the HK MP-5 and variants.
Once upon a time the federal bureaucracy allowed him to end his offical training sessions with a full auto demonstration using a 1928 Thompson SMG!
(His favorite room broom)
He also stated his next favorite, was the Sterling SMG. His reasons stated were: It's a natural pointer, easy to clear jams from when they do happen,(apperently not so with the HK)easy to clean, and very accurate, as far as open bolt SMGs could be. Very dependable over a long shooting session as well.

Fugly but every one wants to shoot it :)

Not fugly in my books but rather a classic. It was the first (and in many cases the only) subgun most of us ever got to shoot.

So you now have a great attention getter at the range, and when the time ever comes to dispose of it, a chance to reap a tidy profit too.

That is, unless the Liberals ever get in.

selling

I dont think I would ever sell it... It seems to be my fave. The women at the club like to shoot it to. As for cleaning it is very simple a tube and a hunk of metal. If I was invited to a range in Halifax I would bring it for guys to try :)
I just have to start reloading 9mm now. I will try to get a vid of it being fired

Hillbilly, I thought the Garand was your fave. Let the women get their hands on something really big.
