Anyone see that Savage is selling Ithaca 37s under the Stevens brand....Nice...I always liked the 37s...These are 3'' capable, and interchangabe chokes...My brother has seen them in Wal-Mart in Florida for $299. I am getting one for sure.

Greetings,
I have a Stevens 350 Security (Ithaca M37 clone) with the ghost ring sights. Picked it up for $269 at Ellwood Epps and I couldn't be happier. Cylcles very smootly, ejects and feeds like a dream (I tested it when it first came home with some ratty old 2 5/8 paper hulls and it had no issues) and the trigger is perfect.
Had it at the range yesterday and with the 18" barrel and some cheapo Winchester field grade shells it kicked but with the nice butt pad it didn't hurt, just pushed against my shoulder.
No FTF, no FTE and it went bang everytime. Of all the shotguns I have had, this is easily one of the best bargains I have ever had. For what you get for under $300 (and Epps has the combo, 18.25" and 28" barrels for $287) I dare anyone to find a better deal used or new.
If you have never tried one, then I think you should.
Matt

I looked at these. Seems like a good deal. The main reason I didn't buy one was the worst recoiling shotgun I ever shot, for me, was a 37 featherweight. Beat me up bad with field loads.
Hope it fits you'all better than me.
