Which of the three for standard? The tanfo comes in a little cheaper. I always get buyers remorse though, and I've always wanted an edge. Of course Glock 35 would be the cheapest of the 3. I like the smaller and lightened slide of the tanfo, same for the full length rail.

Before Jumping to STI vs Tanfo.

How big are your hands? I shot the STI edge and its a fantastic gun but to me it was holding like a 2X4 and same thing goes for the Glock. Tanfo on the other hand fits better in my hand because I got shorter fingers.

I love my Match and its a fantastic gun. Is it an STI Edge no not really then again it also only cost me 800 bucks.

I prefer a coned/bull barrel, so edge and tanfo; cz doesn't have coned barrel does it? Glock doesn't have one, but its cheap.

Hands are large, so grip isn't an issue.

Technically I think it would be considered a bushing gun, but the bushing is meant to be semi-permanent. I would suggest that there is no performance or maintenance difference between a bull barrel and a CZ bushing. But it's open to discussion.

Not to highjack the thread but how about for open? 2011 platform or eric gold/ extreme tanfo. Considering Eric G won all those titles with the tanfo open.

I have had all three mentioned. To me it depends on the size of your hands. Glock 35 was my first and I still have it. It just fits my hands and I like the ergononomics of it. Down side it recoils the most. Next I had an STI Edge. I sold it as it did not fit my hands plus it was real finicky. I finally did get the mags to run. But it was too big for my hands. Next I got a Tang Limited Custom. Once I got rid Of the big ugly wood grips and replaced them with Eric Grauffel it was golden. Still have it and it is my primary IPSC gun.

Guns are an individual and personal thing. You can have 30 people tell you an STI edge, but until you go shoot one for a while, you won't know if it will work for you or not.
A gun that's good for one person, may be a mistake to buy for another.

Ask buddies at your IPSC matches to handle / possibly shoot them to decide. Or spend a lot of money on guns, your choice. :)

This. ^^^^^^

If you do like the Glock you can counter the cons of its recoil legally in IPSC standard with a rail mounted light, hollowed out and filled with lead like Vogel does or just buy the pre-made rail weights like this....

I started Glock. Spent enough on it that I could have bought an Edge and in the end still have a Glock. Then I went to a 2011 Eagle 5.0. Loved it. Currently I'm running a Ltd Custom Xtreme and will probably never switch again. It fits my hands best of all.

The 2011 ( STI- SVI ) lets you load your .40 long. The tanfo does not. You can get some pretty sweet loads by using faster burning powder ( N320, Clays...)

get a 2011, the tanfo's crack at the frame near the safeties. only reason why grauffel shoots them is because he gets free guns. he will shoot a gun for a few thousand rounds and once it breaks he gets another one.
