STI Edge vs Tanfoglio Extreme Custom vs Glock 35, IPSC Standard

To the OP; All can have their pluses and negatives.
I have been exposed to lots of STI's (and owned two), lot's of CZ's (own one CZ and know of only one Tanfo but the design is the same) and several Glocks (owned 2).
I used them all in a variety of IPSC divisions, outside of personal fit here is my 2 cents, (YMMV):
STI
Pros;
-when it works it's utterly amazing.
-not hard to get parts or gunsmiths to keep it running.
Cons;
-expensive to purchase.
-sometimes it takes some fussing with them to get them running 100%.

CZ
Pros;
-they just plain work.
-the SA trigger can be the equal of the tuned STI.
- very affordable.
Cons;
-not as much aftermarket support as the STI.

Glock:
Pros
-cheap.
-reliable.
-simple.
-replaceable.
Cons;
-I never liked the trigger (although I've seen guys really make it work).

If I were dropping the cash today the Glock wouldn't be considered, the price of the STI would leave it in the store window and I'd be buying either the Tangfo or a TS Orange.

Just got this STI EDGE at a good price with 5 mags too used of course
I polished slide magwell svi parts and C&S warp speed hammer svi trigger now will add dvc grip next week
I like it bcaus its like an AR15 plenty of custom parts
I love my Tanfo's but gonna give this beauty a chance ;)

If people want to be the top/cool shooter. 2011 platform almost always the final pick if you have the money. Top/cool shooter meant you do 1 match a week, 2K rounds a month. Always try to be the top 5 at your provincial match.
You will spend 1 hour per day minimum to work on your skill and the gun. And if you spend enough time and money, you will end up with one that you can truly call "your own gun".

CZ on the other hand work out of the box. 3 match a month, under 1K rounds a month.
You will spend 30 minus working on your skill, and maybe one hour per month to clean the gun.
There are not much of performance difference between CZ and 2011 when they both are stock.

Glock, you are more a just for fun shooter. 3 match a year. 1K round could last for a year.
Go to range once a month, maybe........

I know above is very stereotype.
