Sticky : The CZ / Bolt action rimfire picture thread !

New CZ 455 stainless

Been looking for something new to add to the safe and this thread inspired me buy this one that’s been on the wall at the local GS. Bought it yesterday, mounted the Vortex 2x7 and headed to the range this morning. To say I’m impressed would be an understatement! Anyone know where you can find a Woolco and $1.44 day to buy more of this ammo, last box from the 80’s :dancingbanana:View attachment 278832View attachment 278830View attachment 278828

I see pics of my 2 CZs on the first page of this thread.
Don’t have them anymore.
I did however get a 452 lux and just put a vx3 on it

But don’t do photobucket anymore. So not sure how to host/load photos.

Just picked up a minty 452 Lux at me LGS to replace the one I sold some years back. The wee beasty is in "as new" condition and the price was too good to pass up.:)

Are you guys running rimfire specific scopes on these. I am looking to get myself a scope for my 22 rimfire, debating a rimfire specific or one with adjustable parallax. Thanks

shell shucker, nice wood on that lux. Even back to the late 40's, the quality of wood on Brno/CZ's is extremely variable.

Yep, that be true. I've owned a few and handled many from the era . The wood varied a bunch in color and figure (If any) depending on the type sourced, be it walnut, beech or other suitable wood. I like the walnut stocks but for stability & durability, I go with beech. Ain't the easiest to stain wood though.

I find adjustable parallax very useful, regardless of caliber. FWIW I went with a ffp diamondback for my new MTR.

^^ Good to know, right now I got a cheap 22, my friend said buy a good scope now, then you could take the scope off and transfer it whenever you upgrade. I was looking at the DIAMONDBACK TACTICAL 4-16X44 FFP.

CZ 457 MDT with 16" barrel.... Same weight compared to the wood stock but way more comfortable and ergonomically suited for my shooting needs. Area 419 Bolt Knob on route from GBT any day now.
