Stolen pistol 5 years ago recovered (now with test fire video edit on first post )

congrats...looks not bad...those nicks in the frame?

ya few dings on the frame and a bit were they must have cut off the trigger lock .the rest will shine up pretty good I think .
Im at work now, and shes taking a nice oil soak bath.
im gunna tear out the fireing pin and the rest of the stuff in the slide, give her a good over haul.
ill take her to the range tomorrow .
im going to video parts of the clean up and range work and post em up on my youtube channel .

This is a great story, that would be one gun I would never sell. Waiting for the range update. I can't help but imagine this is how you answered the door lol.

LOL ya except I ran out and waited on the front lawn and flagged him down , as soon as he told me he was on his way .

Probably what I would of done. I can't imagine the panic attack and brain hemorrhage an anti would of had if they seen a LEO handing a handgun back to a citizen. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

It may be hard for a newfie to understand, but how is asking the guy about if it was covered under insurance a political thing?

Pretty ignorant comment IMO. I know a newfie engineer who moves offshore oil rigs, bet he makes more in a month than you do in a year.

haha that's so awesome after 5 years that it made it's way back to you in better condition that I would have imagined. as I was reading through the pages of this post start to finish I was like "oh god" and then "LOL YAY". it also seems crazy the cops returned a dirty firearm to you, who knows what it could have done in that 5 years lol. congrats on finally getting her home!
