Story on FTE and FTF on new Glock Gen 4?

about gen4 mag
The only glock I owned was late gen3 G20,that was brought 18 month ago, up to now I put 1000rounds of factory and reload (win231 and mostly tile group) no problems of ejections ,all factory parts is using .But when I brought extra mags from the dealer, they said that they only carries Gen4 mags .the problems comes , the empty mag often get caught by slide stop on the mag follower ,needs to pull out by force , how can I distinguished Gen 3 from 4 since no parts no. or identification to tell .
